Meet Mimir — your workspace's own AI assistant

Every Oneva workspace now includes Mimir, a privacy-first AI assistant. It starts knowing nothing about you, helps you with Oneva out of the box, and only ever touches your data once you say so.

Your Oneva workspace now includes Mimir, an AI assistant that lives on your own server. We built it the way we build everything at Oneva — privacy first — so the most important thing to know is what it can't do until you decide otherwise.

It starts by knowing nothing about you

Out of the box, Mimir is in support-only mode. It can answer "how do I…" questions about Oneva itself — sharing, calendars, mail setup, importing your old data — drawing on our help library. What it cannot do is see your mail, your files, or anything else in your workspace. Nothing of yours is read, indexed, or sent anywhere. Mimir is present, but dormant.

You decide what it can touch

When you're ready, you turn on data access in Mimir settings. From that point Mimir can work with your content — and only yours; there is no access to anyone else's data. Anything that actually does something — send an email, create a calendar event — pauses for your approval first, with a clear "review and approve" step in the chat. You stay in the loop on every action.

It searches across your own work

Once data access is on, Mimir builds a private index on your own VM and can search across your mail, files, calendar, contacts, notes, Deck and Talk — semantically, by meaning rather than just keywords. Ask "what did we agree with the supplier about delivery?" and Mimir looks across your workspace to find it. The index is yours, on your server, and goes dormant again if you switch data access back off. (Larger workspaces also gain hybrid keyword search and web browsing.)

Your model, your key

By default Mimir runs on European Mistral, with a capped allowance of a small, fast model — enough to get a feel for it at no extra cost. Want something stronger? Bring your own key: point Mimir at a provider and model you choose (provider URL + API key in settings), and it runs on your account, your terms.

Use it from the assistant you already use

Mimir speaks MCP, the open standard for connecting AI assistants to tools and data. That means you can connect your Oneva workspace to Mistral Vibe (formerly Le Chat), Claude, and other MCP-compatible assistants — and work with your Oneva content from there, under the same consent and approval rules.

European by default

Mimir's default inference runs on EU-hosted Mistral, with no training on your data under their standard terms. Your content never leaves your own VM — the same per-workspace boundary as the rest of Oneva. Privacy isn't a setting; it's the starting point.

Why "Mimir"?

In Norse myth, Mímir guards the well of wisdom at the roots of the world-tree; Odin gave up an eye for a single draught from it. It's a fitting name for an assistant — not a know-it-all, but the keeper of a well you draw from. Here, the well is your own work: Mimir's real value isn't what it knows about the world, but how well it helps you find and use what's already in your workspace. A European name, for an assistant that runs on European infrastructure.

Mimir is in your workspace now — dormant until you want it. Open Mimir to say hello, and turn on data access whenever you're ready.
