Your workspace just moved up to Nextcloud 34

Every Oneva workspace now runs Nextcloud 34 — a lighter, cleaner interface plus real improvements to calls, calendars, contacts and mail. Already live, nothing to install.

The platform behind your Oneva workspace — your Files, Calendar, Contacts, Mail and Talk calls — just moved up to Nextcloud 34, the newest release of the open-source platform Oneva is built on. We've rolled it out across every workspace. There's nothing to install and nothing to switch on; the next time you log in, it's already there.

Here's what you'll actually notice.

A lighter, cleaner look

The whole interface got a refresh — a lighter, calmer design that stays out of your way. The most visible change is the new app menu: your apps now live in one focused grid in the top bar, so hopping between Files, Calendar, Mail and Talk is quicker and less cluttered. The left-hand navigation is quieter too, which lets whatever you're working on stand out.

Calls that start where you already are

In Talk, you can now start a call straight from someone's avatar — click their picture wherever you see it and you're talking, without first hunting down the right conversation. Calls also get better background-noise suppression, so the coffee shop, the keyboard and the dog stay out of the meeting.

Conversations that stay organised

As your chats pile up, Nextcloud 34 helps you keep them straight. You can sort conversations alphabetically or by most-recent activity, and tag and group them — so project chats, team rooms and the off-topic channel each sit where you expect. You can also reply privately to a single message inside a group chat when something is meant for just one person.

Calendars and contacts that reach beyond your workspace

Groupware picks up some of the most useful upgrades:

  • Connect outside calendars and address books. Nextcloud 34 adds read-and-write access to external CalDAV and CardDAV servers, so a calendar or contact list you keep elsewhere can sit right alongside your Oneva one — and you can edit it from here.
  • Delegation. Let an assistant or colleague manage your calendar and create events on your behalf.
  • Per-calendar default reminders and invitation forwarding round out the scheduling improvements, so meetings arrive with the right notifications and reach the right people.

Mail that's quicker to work through

The Mail app gains several practical touches: a proper HTML composer for richer, better-formatted messages, the ability to delete a whole thread — original and every follow-up — in one action, and support for delegated mailboxes, so you can read and reply on behalf of a shared or colleague's account where that's set up.

Everything else, a little better

Sharing, file handling and dozens of small "papercut" fixes across the apps got attention too — the kind of quiet polish you don't notice one at a time, but that adds up to a smoother day.

It's all live in your workspace right now. Log in and take a look around — starting with that new app menu in the top bar.
